FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN + 5 PLANETS RETROGRADE! We are at the mid point of the year and this is a good time to check how you are progressing so far as we are gearing up for some strong astrological events and cycles over the coming months and this full moon is a great opportunity to help us to be prepared.
Capricorn represents the wise ones, the planners, the organisers, the ones who take on responsibility and build culture from beginning to end. This lunar cycle connects us to Saturn through conjunction…Saturn will hold us to what we need to do to have strong foundations and basically help us to get s*#t done! This speaks to a slow build rather than fast progress and it’s advisable to understand
New moon = seeding new intentions, hope, vision. New moon in Pisces conjunct Chiron = new seeds and cycles regarding the potential for healing old wounds that may have been coming up recently.
We have been collectively moving through some strong Piscean energy in recent weeks. With Pisces being so strong, it may have been hard to not be pulled into old ways of dealing with old wounds or maybe there was a sudden plot change shifting the direction of your wound story. This new moon is giving us a chance to almost soak up all the pain from this healing process and to hopefully gather some greater clarity as we move into the next lunar cycle.
I am not a Christian and yet I can connect with the sentiments of this time of year. For me, when I think of Jesus, I think of compassion. The story of Jesus reminds me of what it means to truly surrender yourself for others, not martyrdom or manipulative sacrifice but genuinely being there for others.
Compassion is the knowing that we are not seperate…we are all connected…what makes you happy will bring me happiness and vice versa. It’s not rocket science, yet it seems to be very difficult for many of us to truly understand and practice.
The great thing about compassion is that it doesn't require anything
special to practice...just right intention.
The longest day for the Southern Hemisphere.
The longest night for the Northern Hemisphere.
For me, Solstice reminds me that life is cyclical. Not everything is about going forwards and progress. I am reminded by nature that there are times to slow down and go in and there are times to speed up and go out.
This always helps me to remember that all phases are temporary and helps me to flow with each cycle. If I forget this I find myself resisting the natural flow of events due to not understanding the cyclical nature of reality and this never feels good and is ultimately futile.
