Compassion is the knowing that we are not seperate…we are all connected…what makes you happy will bring me happiness and vice versa. It’s not rocket science, yet it seems to be very difficult for many of us to truly understand and practice.
The great thing about compassion is that it doesn't require anything
special to practice...just right intention.
The more you practice compassion the more your wisdom expands as your consciousness starts to consider greater problems requiring greater solutions. Compassion allows us to step out of the busy continual spin of our minds and see a bigger picture that includes more than our personal problems.
So during this busy time, be kind and compassionate to others as much as possible. If you can not do that for whatever reason, then please just take a moment to be kind and compassionate to yourself…stop the loop somewhere.
THE 4 IMMEASURABLES - A BUDDHIST PRAYER
May all beings know happiness and its causes.
May all beings be free from suffering and its causes.
May all beings never be separated from bliss.
May all beings abide in equal love for all.
