Aries New Moon 🌑 conjunct Uranus the great awakener today. PLUS Mercury the planet weaving it all together, the great messenger of the Gods goes direct! Wow! What a great time to really commit to taking action on the messages you've been receiving you over the last few weeks while Mercury was retro. Uranus is in this mix and always reminds me that I must awaken myself to be able to help others...I must start with myself or I'm of no benefit and just another person needing to be helped rather than someone who CAN help. For me, this new moon is presenting the opportunity to really commit to our own awakening. It really is the purpose of our lives...to awaken to who / what we truly are.
New moon = seeding new intentions, hope, vision. New moon in Pisces conjunct Chiron = new seeds and cycles regarding the potential for healing old wounds that may have been coming up recently.
We have been collectively moving through some strong Piscean energy in recent weeks. With Pisces being so strong, it may have been hard to not be pulled into old ways of dealing with old wounds or maybe there was a sudden plot change shifting the direction of your wound story. This new moon is giving us a chance to almost soak up all the pain from this healing process and to hopefully gather some greater clarity as we move into the next lunar cycle.
I am not a Christian and yet I can connect with the sentiments of this time of year. For me, when I think of Jesus, I think of compassion. The story of Jesus reminds me of what it means to truly surrender yourself for others, not martyrdom or manipulative sacrifice but genuinely being there for others.
Compassion is the knowing that we are not seperate…we are all connected…what makes you happy will bring me happiness and vice versa. It’s not rocket science, yet it seems to be very difficult for many of us to truly understand and practice.
The great thing about compassion is that it doesn't require anything
special to practice...just right intention.
The longest day for the Southern Hemisphere.
The longest night for the Northern Hemisphere.
For me, Solstice reminds me that life is cyclical. Not everything is about going forwards and progress. I am reminded by nature that there are times to slow down and go in and there are times to speed up and go out.
This always helps me to remember that all phases are temporary and helps me to flow with each cycle. If I forget this I find myself resisting the natural flow of events due to not understanding the cyclical nature of reality and this never feels good and is ultimately futile.
Happening in approximately 24 hours time is a super charged Sagittarius new moon, the final new moon of 2017. With this being the last for the calendar year, it is such a great time to take stock and set intentions for 2018.
We have a full powered beginning to 2018 with huge momentum moving forwards making the seeds of intentions planted at this time important as they will carry within them the past and the future. Furthermore, these intentions are being seeded in the realm of the galactic centre suggesting the possibility of these seeds carrying the potential for a massive push into new karmic territories.
Wow! This photo is from 5 years ago taken in a cave in Jordan. We had just finished adventuring through the amazing Petra...one of the most exquisite experiences of my life! I remember sitting in this cave and feeling as though I were in another dimension. To get to this particular little cave required a bit of courage and climbing but I had the assistance of a Bedouin man who took this picture and also later invited us to lunch with him in his cave / home.
Today I reflect on how much I previously thought I had to leave my life to get something. At this point in time I am living in Australia with my sons and my life is radically different compared to when this photo was taken and yet even though in one way that time was magical, this seemingly very ordinary life I now live is more magical and extraordinary then ever before.
Gemini full moon today. A key player in this current cycle is Mercury going retro in Sagittarius. Gemini is symbolised by the twins denoting duality. Sagittarius, which sits opposite Gemini in Astrology, is where the twins have become one…human and animal merged. This symbol hints at the potential that when you are no longer swinging between dualistic concepts such as right and wrong, you become the Centaur, the archer, with his arrow aiming towards the truth. There is a truth beyond the truth and Sagittarius knows how to get us there, or at least points the way!
My dear friend Kesenya from #guidingstar_kesenya pointed out to me today that Mercury goes retro at the Galactic Centre, symbolising the potential for a complete karmic reset.
Last weekend I spoke at my dear friends Kate and Pat Reardon from Natural Instinct Healing's event. It was a life changing experience for me. It was the first time I shared my story in front of a group of mostly strangers. I wasn’t scared to share, I’ve reached a place where I am ok with my story.
Yet...I was left with what Kate called a vulnerability hangover!
This experience inspired me to write a piece about vulnerability. It really hit me that that there is so much power stored down deep in the places we can ONLY access through being vulnerable…so I did it…gotta practice what I preach and for sure I found some great stuff down there!
We are still in the time of Scorpio new moon. Scorpio is associated with power. Lately I have found myself and witnessed others experiencing the deeper power of vulnerability.
Being vulnerable is one of the most powerful things we can do as a human. As I always say "the truth will set you free" and to access the truth you have to be vulnerable. You have to be ready to open up so you can see what is really going on! You can only heal and transcend what you know otherwise things rumble around in your soul with growls from what we think are big monsters when in actuality they are events and things that have happened.
I for sure have skeletons in my closet...we all do...what is a skeleton for
