Wow! This photo is from 5 years ago taken in a cave in Jordan. We had just finished adventuring through the amazing Petra...one of the most exquisite experiences of my life! I remember sitting in this cave and feeling as though I were in another dimension. To get to this particular little cave required a bit of courage and climbing but I had the assistance of a Bedouin man who took this picture and also later invited us to lunch with him in his cave / home.

Today I reflect on how much I previously thought I had to leave my life to get something. At this point in time I am living in Australia with my sons and my life is radically different compared to when this photo was taken and yet even though in one way that time was magical, this seemingly very ordinary life I now live is more    magical and extraordinary then ever before.

Caroline Myss talks about the times we live in as a time where we have mystics without monasteries. I’m seeing more and more where this is true and that we are now more than ever before able to wake up where we are. With the right intention and support, we don’t need to leave our lives in the big dramatic ways we needed to historically. Sometimes it’s necessary to tap out for sure, but it is not necessary to completely upend it all and throw the baby out with the bath water so to speak.

With the amazing access we now have to information via the internet, we can connect with incredible teachers and teachings from anywhere in the world. I personally run most of my sessions via the internet and it is so amazing as I am connecting with people from everywhere on earth and I feel incredibly blessed to have connected with all of the souls and stories that have graced my life. Through these experiences I have come to truly know that we are all in this together! The healing that has taken place in my life from tuning in with and supporting others has been monumental to say the least.

From doing this work I’ve come to know that we all have a story. We all have trauma. We all want happiness and we all have access to the resources and tools to heal. We all have the capacity to wake up and as my teacher says “It is each of our birthrights to know true happiness.”
